What are some yummy healthy low cal foods i can eat?

I’m a female. 21 years old. My height is 5′6.5" and I weight 158 lbs.

I want to lose some weight. At least 10-20 lbs. I think 130-140 is a descent weight for my height. At least average. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don’t know how to do it in a healthy way. My parents and entire family are obese. They have heart problems and diabetes. I was raised on hamburgers and fast foods and nasty greasy stuff. When I was little I remember being allowed to eat chips and cheese dip for breakfast and ice cream for dinner plus whatever else I wanted to eat after not being filled up by that junk.

I don’t want to be like my family. I’m surprised I’m not bigger than I am.

Know I’m not totally dense. Vegetables, fruit…I know thopse are healthy…But I don’t that would make a very good meal and fill me up and everything you know?

Are there any recipes?

Also, please don’t reccomend straving myself or throwing up. I did that stuff in the past and it isn’t a road I want to go down again

There are some recipes here for healthily getting fit: http://www.beauty-tricks.com/beautyforum/viewtopic.php?t=12

I believe that everyone’s health is different so there isn’t a single sure-fire solution to weight loss. I would suggest trying several diets and exercise plans and see which one works the best.

You are not going to hear this from too many people, but do not be strict with yourself. Try to eat a balanced diet consisting of low fat protein such as grilled chicked, low fat milk, fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates. But, if you deprive yourself all the time, you may end up bingeing. Please read the book "Why French Women Don’t Get Fat". You can probably get it at your library. Also, the slower you lose the weight, the more likely you are to keep it off.

cut out carbs for a couple of months, eat broiled or baked chicken or fish, no skin on them, and check the fruits, some are quite high in calories due to the natural sugars and some have quite a bit of starch in them, strawberries, blue berries, are good and low in cal. low fat milk , yogurt thats artificially sweetened, lots of sugar free jello and mix some fruit or yogurt into it for more substance. lots of salad, broccoli, culiflower, some carrots, steam your veggies or eat them raw. green beans, summer squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, low fat cheese and cottage cheese, make sure your salad dressings are low in carbs and fats. if you must have bread or crackers make sure they are whole wheat and very limited. diet soda is ok, lots of water, and low cal juices are good, i know there are a few. Propel fitness water is good too.

In the frozen veg section, look for shelled edamame. It’s a soybean that tastes like nuts. Really good for you and yummy. Just microwave and eat them plain. I know they look like Lima beans! Close your eyes! They taste good!

Many patients ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using Hoodia X600 Plus (it’s important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia 600X Plus being sold at http://www.alllsite.info/hoodia-weight-loss.php is in my opinion, the best product on the market. It’s pure, no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). My patients have seen fantastic results with this particular Hoodia.
