Fruit and vegetable diet….I might have diabetes…..?

I am 24 years old 5′6 and 240 lbs I gained 60 to 70 lbs in the first 2 years me and my soon to husband got together , I only gained 10 lbs while I was pregnant with my daughter. I went to the doc to get a few test done….. I gave birth a year ago, I have not lost any weight. I went in to get my results yesterday and I have high blood pressure and my sugar was high , so the doc sent in more blood work for diabetes, these two run in my family. He wants me to try and lose wieght and see if that will take care of the high blood pressure. What can I do to try and lose weight? Shouls I try friut and veges? and maybe some fish and grilles chicken?

Yea those are great ideas! But don’t forget that carbs are not a bad thing you just have to have them in moderation. Excersice is the best thing.

Leave off the fruit for now. Eat green vegetables and skinless chicken, turkey or fish. Try meatless soy products (veggie burgers, etc).
