20kgs overweight, how do i avoid gestational diabetes?
I’ve been 20kgs overweight for the past 5 years. Constantly stayed at this weight.
Now that i am 18 weeks pregnant i am concerned about gestational diabetes. Because people who are overweight are at a higher risk. I will get my glucose test like normal… but what are some things i can do to avoid getting it.
light exercise? eating whole grain foods? eating vegetables, fruit? avoiding saturated fats?
Will this help? Or am i destined to get diabetes?
well i was 30lbs overweight and i didnt look it at all. I am now 20 weeks and perfectly fine. i already took my test to see if i got gestational diabetes but i came out fine and sometimes i eat cookies, donuts and fatty foods but i try to eat healthier. Thats all you have to do is eat healthier foods dont eat alot of junk food or sugary stuff. but im sure you will be fine. just relax and dont stress ok. and congrats on your baby!!!
