juice is best in the morning when you have the days activities to work it off. foods high in carbs should not be eaten after 6pm
 it is a long learning curve. counting carbs &amp; going for an evening walk will give the best start. i also take a diabetic specific multi-vitamin.

		<description>I recommend 2 books for him. one is &quot;Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year&quot; can find this on amazon or ebay for not very much. and the other is South Beach diet. I do the phase 2 suggestions with some exceptions. It helps to have guidelines and that is what I use the South Beach for.

Getting glucose under control will help lower blood pressure. It also helps to get the cholesterol into compliance. So one problem at a time. Glucose is first and foremost. It affects all other problems.

Salads are the best meal choices and for snacks nuts, celery with peanut butter, apples with peanut butter or cream cheese, 

Tell him for me, good luck!! to check his glucose, drink the orange juice, then check his glucose 90 minutes later! This will show him what the OJ can do to him! This method works for other foods as well.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
