Gestational diabetes, now on 10 units before bed, levels are higher than ever now!?

I have been to the nutritionist, and of course my OB, I am on a strict dieting plan to watch my carb intake… i look at every label. BUT now since I have been on insulin my numbers are worse and out of control, one nite all i had for dinner is a turkey wrap (tomato wrap), and my numbers were at 194, it was crazy! Its like the better I eat and more insulin I take the worse my numbers are. Im starting to stress cause I cant control it… at all! not with food, not with insulin. I think its best if my OB put me on insulin before every meal, just to get this straight. HELP!?

well from experience every person is different and any little thing that may seem healthy to one person is not for another my friend can eat tapioca pudding and it keeps her sugar in the 400s all day but if she eat choclate pudding it doesn’t rise over 180? Diet for a diabetic?

My father was just diagnose with type II diabetes. He has always been a big eater but veryb active. He loves twinkies and mainly any other kind of snacks.But now they said that he can no longer eat his favorite fried foods or snacks. My mom doesn’t really understand the diet papers that the doctors give her. I was wondering if I could get some help with finding some websites with easy to understand diets and directions.Maybe some info on portions and planned meals.Any help would be very much appreciated.

Does anyone have a Pre-Diabeties Menu they would be willing to share?

I was recently diagnosed with pre-diabeties and am wondering if anyone has a really great food (diet) menu? I am doing everything that I can exercise wise, but am finding it hard to find a good pre-diabetic meal planning menu. Does anyone have any other health pointers to help avoid turning this into full blown diabetes? I am a 25 year old female in otherwise general good health. Thanks so much.

Snack :Crackers and 1tbs of PB.
L-Chef salad with cheese.Fruit
D- Roasted or grilled protein, loads of veggies.

Diabetes and Food.?

I recently found out that I have type 2 diabetes. I saw a nutritionist and have worked out a food plan, but I have a question for others that have this also. For about the last 10 or more years, I haven’t been a big eater, usually would have a snack during the day and then dinner. That was it. Diabetes and Food.?
